Unique features allow you to communicate information about future events such as recalls, appointment reminders etc. with your patients and staff using the Med+DBase auto email service, which comes free of charge with the core system, and can be activated if required.
In addition, doctors and staff can be setup to access patient email addresses, and public and private contact lists. Each doctor has their own private contact list that can be used with any standard mail client.
You may setup email alerts to be triggered under the following circumstances:

Appointment confirmations

Appointment reminders

Lab results received (requires a pathology link, see Optional Features> Electronic Pathology)

Birthday messages
SMS Service
The Med+DBase server has a built-in SMS gateway which allows you to communicate with any patient or company with a mobile phone. Automatic reminders, marketing information and basic questionnaires or special offers can be sent out.
Authorised users may also send ad-hoc text messages directly to any telephone number registered in the system. An advanced activity view displays the SMS usage.
