A: There is no limit to the number of Authorised Users who can access your database. From anywhere, anytime, and subject to the provision of a suitable internet connection, users will always have access to the practice data.
Q: How long does the Med+DBase contract run for?
A: Med+DBase is supplied on a 12 month rolling contract, similar to a mobile phone or internet connection contract. If for any reason you decide to cease using the service at the end of your contract your data will be returned to you in a Microsoft compatible format.
Q: What type of internet connection is best for me?
A: As with all web sites the faster your connection the better. You can access the system using the following connection. For mobile use; connect via a 3G card. For home use a line of at least 512 Kbps ADSL connection should be used. For office use we recommend a 2MB business SDSL / 8 MB ADSL connection
Q: How often is my data backed up?
A: Med+DBase operates multiple servers in multiple structures. The security of these structures is strictly controlled. The servers are configured according to Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) Level 5, which distributes data across several hard drives and provides for its recovery should it be lost. Databases are replicated continuously across locations, hourly snap shots of data are made together with daily backups and security and fault tolerance checks. This not only ensures the safety of your data, but releases you from performing regular backups yourself.

A: Your data is stored at a high security and internationally approved data centre based in the United Kingdom. Hardware is monitored 24/7 in a temperature controlled environment with a battery and generator standby for use in the event of power failure.
