Doctor Scheduling
Appointment types are initially specified by the practice and setup within Med+DBase. An appointment length and additional resources such as room number, or specific equipment required can be specified and automatically attached when bookings are made.
Billing is associated with the appointment type and automatic charges can be sent for DNA.
Side by Side Diary
The side-by-side diary displays doctors and staff with an overview of all appointments at the practice. This is an immensely powerful tool and one most commonly used by admin staff. Options such as viewing all appointments for the next 1 - 5 days and printing all appointments for selected day(s) are available from this page.
Filters can also be setup on the side-by-side page. This allows larger organisation to setup their own groups of users and drill down on specific groups if need be. By default the schedule will allow you the filter by male or female and by discipline.
Appointments will change colour as patients are seen and any DNA’s will be coloured red. Flags can be attached to appointment views, such as ‘new patient’. Doctors’ schedules are also clearly defined on this page.
The page also displays relevant tasks assigned for the day, such as reminders for results.
The diary displays detailed information relating to each slot and further information, such as appointment activity can be displayed upon clicking through to the appointment.
For businesses renting consultation rooms, the system allows an hourly price for room rental to be entered and automatically generates an invoice to the doctor who rents this room.
