At Meddbase, we’re always pushing the envelope of what it means to keep workplaces safe and healthy. We believe that when employees feel both physically and psychologically secure, they’re able to bring their best selves to work and produce great results. Our mission has always been to help employers create these environments, protecting their people and ultimately driving the success of their organisations.
Since expanding into Australia, we’ve had the opportunity to work with a growing number of clients to elevate their occupational health practices. We’ve built a strong foundation with our talented team in Sydney and are excited to keep moving forward, just as we’ve done in other markets. And as occupational health demands become more complex, we’re proud to say that our platform is evolving right alongside them.
Most excitingly, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve taken on an even bigger role in supporting Australian employees in the valuable work they do. We’re partnering with a major not for profit mental health organisation, Beyond Blue, to improve access to mental health support in the workplace.
We recognise how pressing mental health conditions have become globally in trecent times and how they have been impacting the quality of life in and out of the office. In Australia, 1 in 5 people are reported to be actively dealing with mental health challenges, and 17% have experienced an anxiety condition in the last year. Even when these issues arise outside of work, they often affect how employees go about their work , making it important for employers to invest in systems that provide meaningful support for their teams in this aspect.
For this partnership, Meddbase brings a wealth of experience in improving occupational health programs in various places of work. Over the years, we have built a platform that is uniquely equipped to support this exciting new collaboration, with features that will ensure that we meet the demands of a large-scale mental health initiative.
Here’s how:
With Meddbase, our partner is ready to support millions of Australians in the workforce. Built for scalability, the platform ensures smooth interactions between mental health coaches and the people they are supporting, regardless of user volume. This means more efficient communication, better collaboration, and an enhanced user experience, significantly increasing the chances of positive outcomes.
Meddbase’s flexibility allows it to grow with demand, maintaining performance even as more users seek mental health support services. Whether managing thousands of appointments or securely handling sensitive client data, Meddbase seamlessly supports these operations, empowering our partner to extend mental health services to more people nationwide.
Meddbase’s platform powers a fully integrated user portal, giving participants full control over their mental health journey. They can choose their mental health coach, manage appointments, track progress, and access personalised content—all in one place. The platform will deliver fresh, engaging digital content such as videos, podcasts, and practical exercises to reinforce learning, build confidence, and ensure lasting engagement.
On the platform, participants will also receive tailored plans, and set personal goals and strategies that will encourage self-paced learning and growth. On a unified platform, Meddbase hopes to empower our partner to provide fully-online sessions that will help to destigmatise mental health while helping employees gain practical skills that will support their support their long-term wellness.
Meddbase is designed with interoperability in mind, making it easily deployable across various devices—whether it’s a desktop in a city office or a mobile device in a remote area. Being cloud-based ensures that the platform is accessible from anywhere, offering flexibility and convenience. But it doesn’t stop there. Meddbase also uses standardised coding and integrates smoothly with other health systems, meaning that client information, plans, and reports can flow between systems with ease. This ensures that counsellors and healthcare providers can collaborate effectively, even when using different tools. The result? A more cohesive approach to care, improving both the counsellor’s ability to deliver support and the client’s access to the help they need.
What truly sets Meddbase apart is our strong connection with clients. We pride ourselves in offering ongoing, reliable support that’s tailored to our partners’ needs.
Our team works closely with clients to ensure they’re not just using the platform but using it to its full potential. We’re with them every step of the way—whether it’s onboarding, troubleshooting, or strategising for future growth. This deep relationship means our clients have a platform that grows with them, always ensuring they can provide their users with all the assistance they need to thrive.
At Meddbase, we’re always eager to partner with organisations tackling workplace challenges head-on. And this partnership not only allows us to contribute to our shared goal of creating psychologically safe workplaces, but also gives us the opportunity to demonstrate how our platform can truly make a real difference in how employers provide mental health support at work.
As our collaboration progresses, we’re confident we’ll show the value of a proactive approach to mental health, inspiring employers across Australia—and beyond—to take action.
